"Hoppy Easter"

Happy Easter to All! I know I could have probably bought a pre-made version of this, but the fun was in making it and it being one of a kind. I really never before was into door hangings (except at Christmas), but realize that it really makes a house a home. I am looking forward to the next holiday and next door hanging. Click on the picture for a closer view as my picture taking ability is not the best.

Another Visitor

Here is "Hope". She is my son's girlfriend's dog. I dogsitted last weekend and Hope was a very good dog. Being quite small, she tried getting under every couch and dresser and bed in the house. If I would have thought about it, I would have tied a duster on her nose. Several times she came out from under with a giant fuzzbunny on her nose.
For an update on Sam, the adopted cat, he (almost sure) is now letting me pet him on occasion and seems to be warming up to us. . . . . finally.

My New Collection

I happened to come across the blue Ginger Jar at a local resale shop and remembered I had one similar to this years ago but between moves and garage sales must have let go of it for space sake. I just couldn't resist buying it (for $4.00). Then a couple of weeks later I saw the white one "Otagiri" at another store. It was marked $6.00, but with the 75% off I only paid $1.50 + tax. Okay, so now I am into Ginger Jars and will be on the lookout for more.

Valentine Door Decoration

I happened to be at Hobby Lobby and saw a Valentine door hanging and thought it was cute and thought I would try my hand at being crafty. I purchased the wooden hearts, ribbon, paint, glitter and scrapbook paper for about $5.00. I am not counting the Mod Podge and Silicone because I can use that for other projects down the road. I can't believe my friend and coworker Nicole has got me caught up in this crafting and blogging. I have to admit I am actually having fun. I can't wait to think up something unique for my Easter door hanging.

My first post has to be the beautiful cat that wandered into our backyard a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if a female or male (hope male), but of course I had to feed Sam. Thought the name would be appropriate and would fit either gender. Well Sam and I have come a long way and we are still not on petting terms, but we are getting there. I am being very patient.
